Bookmark or Share- #NUM Error in DATEDIF Formula Excel 2016 - Microsoft CommunityI am calculating Years of Service: =DATEDIF(C2,F2,"Y") but it is coming back with #NUM. I have both dates formatted with the 4 digit year (02/14/1972) in C2 and F2, which picks up today's date (both formatted the same). I also tried switching the formatting in the formula cell but nothing works.

In this Forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself. The DATEDIF function is available in any version of Excel, but it is not shown in the list of functions. You can simply type =DATEDIF( in a cell to use it.

I've been typing =DATEDIF(D2, TODAY(),"Y") Excel seems to recognize the first cell as part of the function, but not the second value (i've tried other cells on the place of today() too.) It seems that my excel does not recognize this as a function.
