Paiste cymbal cleaner works well on clear coated modern cymbals. Groove Juice cut in half works well also.

Maybe for a fusion-type gig, which I never have, I might bring china, splash, bell cymbals, as well as a small crash, but mostly it's jazz with a house kit, so the classic two-crash-rides set-up, maybe plus a flat ride, works best.

Aging doesn't seem to affect these cymbals.
- Flying with Cymbals | [DFO] Drum ForumYou want those cymbals to sit with the bells nested throughout the journey. Difficult to keep the smaller cymbals from shifting around. It can be hard to imagine just how much cymbals are going to want to move around in a box - particularly when being tossed around (which they will be).
