Cuiabá is one of Brazil's hottest cities, literally, sometimes reaching 43 °C (110 °F). These high temperatures correspond with the wet season - also making it more humid. The city's name, Cuiabá, is believed to come from the Bororó indian word IKUIAPÁ - signifying "place of IKUIA". More @Wikipedia
