- Affordable Housing – CornerstonesFor 50 years, Cornerstones and the Cornerstones Housing Corporation (CHC) have been helping families and individuals by providing a variety of affordable housing options in our area. Townhouses & Condominiums. The Cornerstones Housing Corporation owns 47 townhouses and 11 condominiums which includes low-income, affordable senior housing.
- Emergency Shelter – CornerstonesDuring the winter months of December through March, Cornerstones partners with Fairfax County to operate the North County Hypothermia Prevention Program (NCHP), one of three hypothermia prevention sites in Fairfax County. We operate a cooling center for the homeless as well as emergency shelter during severe storms and summer weather.
- Financial Assistance – CornerstonesCornerstones partners with Dominion Virginia Power to provide utilities assistance for low income households in the Herndon-Reston area through the company’s EnergyShare program. EnergyShare is Dominion’s fuel assistance program of last resort for anyone who faces financial hardships from unemployment or family crisis.
