- How do I clear "Presidential Alerts" from my CC flip phone?Presidential alerts can't be turned off, so you wont be able to mess with that. But you should be able to clear the CMAS alerts. I forget the exact steps however. :( I believe one way was by accessing the "alerts" while on the main screen (upper-left soft key), and clearing it from there. I never had much luck that way though.

If you just delete broadcasts without first acknowledging the alerts, the CMAS symbol will remain. The only way to get rid of it as this point is to backup the contacts to the sim card, then do a master reset.
