- Claudius Gothicus Consecratio - Coin TalkThis is, I believe, a barbarous Claudius Gothicus consecratio. It came from an uncleaned lot so it's really rough. If you squint really hard and tilt your head about 26 degrees to the left, you can kind of see the radiate parts of his crown. The reverse is a bit more distinct. furryfrog02, Aug 2, 2019.

I like the T-bone with the odd tetrastyle temple, the Gallienus with the consular bust of Mediolanum, and the "white whale" Claudius II with the consular bust that was in a group lot, of all places!
- CLAUDIUS II, Gothicus (AD 268-270) - Coin TalkCoins of Claudius II are usulay poor - hard to finde well preserved. He was one of the most sucesfull general in Roma history who together with Aurelian fataly defeted much numbered Goth forces. Unfortunately he died of plague very soon. From this point of wiev his coins are imaportant for any ancient collection.
