Bookmark or Share- Is it okay for a chow to live outdoors? - ChowChow.orgIf your chow gets bored she/he will find a way to escape and go walk-about. Depending on where you live you should be aware that in some places, chows are often stolen for use as "bait" dogs by dog fighting people. I would never, ever leave my chow (or any other dog) outslide alone for more than 20-30 minutes.

This is a gas anethesia that once turned off, is out of the animals system in a few minutes and the animal wakes right up. All my chows have had procedures with this and NONE of them have suffered side effects.
- How long do you walk your chows for every day? - Chow ChowIf they get hyper, I'll take them out for a short, short walk in the early evening, we're talking 5-10 minutes. A chow will walk until the drop dead and they may not show the signs of over heating until it is dangerous. You also have a young chow, (Yoshi) and they are far more likely to not show the signs, (Firesong is very like that too).
