- Hello! Motor yacht questions! - Cruisers & Sailing ForumsI'd say Carvers are reasonably solid "Chevys" -- as are Sea Ray, Mainship, and Bayliner from jtf's list. As with most production boats, these are mostly a system of systems... and if Carver (or whomever) uses a Jabsco head instead of a Raritan head ... or Buck Algonquin thru-hulls instead of Groco... well, that's a different debate.
