Bookmark or Share- How early to arrive CDG for international flight home?I'll be curious to hear responses - we arrived early in Dec in Munich - we got there at 5:45am and they didn't even begin letting down the gates and begin checking us in till 6:30 for a 9:30 flight - so they began processing us 3 hours before.
- Charles de Gaulle airport to Paris Gare de Lyon - Rick StevesCan anyone tell us the best way to get from the CDG airport to the Gare de Lyon train station in Paris. Is it better to use a taxi or Uber or a shared van. We arrive at 7:45 AM, need to pick up luggage, go through customs, etc.
- Amount of time to get through customs at CDG airportIt also depends on your arrival time. We've stood in line at passport control for over two hours. On the other hand, in late May we got to CDG about 6:15 a.m. and were through the line in about 15 minutes.
- Best way to get from CDG to Caen France - Rick StevesDefinitely train to Caen from Gare Saint-Lazare in Paris. But if you are only 1 or 2 people without an inordinate amount of luggage, you can take the RoissyBus from the airport to the Paris train station.
- Returning a rental car at Charles-de-Gaulle AirportI can't give exact directions, but the huge ovoid Sheraton in the middle of T2 at CDG is a good landmark. If one stands in the tiny driveway into the Sheraton, you can look over the railing & see the car return far down below, at the ground level in the center of the semi circular terminal buildings.
