I know my birth parents, but the tricky part is what I am trying to find now. My birth father was adopted through Catholic Charities in Austin shortly after he was born in 1966. He was born Sep 1, 1966 in Austin, TX.

- adoptions thru Catholic Charities in late 1960'sThe adoption was through catholic charities. My question is if the adoption was a closed adoption how much, if any, info, would an adoptee receive? - Catholic Charities of Washington DC & St. Ann's Infant Home 1966I was born at Provident Hospital, also baptized at St. Patrick's and was adopted from the St. Ann Infant Home through Catholic Charities in 1962. That must have been one of the main unwed mother's homes in the DMV area back in the 60s. It is still in existence today.

They did not have the name of the maternity home and very little nonid info since they only handled the relenquishment. If I could find out which home was used, would I be able to get more nonid info?
