In the 1970s or 1980s Charlie Feathers played a Yamaha SA-30. Although I have a couple Gretsches- a Double Anniversary and a Country Club- I am most likely to play rockabilly on a 1956 Gibson ES-175D or 1960 ES-330TD.

I think either of your options will be good for this use, but if you’re just getting one pedal, the Timmy gives some more flexibility for making it fit what you need in your setup, with the three clipping modes and the controls for both bass and treble.
