- Manco Dingo Brakes - DIY Go KartsI have the same brake setup on one of my karts. It helped enough that I am recommending it. I used a flat plate of steel ( 3/16" X 1" X 4" ). Drilled two holes to bolt it to the piece that comes out of the caliper. Drilled a hole at the lowest point onto which the rod connects. Took about a half hour to make.
