Bookmark or Share- Hole in the horn Ohio buck - forums.bowsite.comI live, and have hunted extensively, in the area where the Hole in the Horn buck was found dead on RR tracks. 30ish years ago my dad killed a 27 points nontypical in this area that scored 183 - and it had several inches broken off (hard to tell how much but at least 5"). More importantly the buck was aged at 3.5 years old and weighed 135# dressed.
- Kodiak Buck Shack Redemption - Bowsite.comOn Halloween Day, Taj Shoemaker of Island Air put us on the beach with his Cessna 180 Skywagon. Like many before us, we hauled our gear up to the Buck Shack from the beach using the well-worn trail we respectfully named the "Inchon Mud Trail" in remembrance of the tidal mud encountered by U.S. Marines during the Korean War era amphibious landing of the same name.

My favorite was an old metal swing set at my buddies place in the UP wish I had some pics of it. A lot of memories and beers at the ole buck poles around camps exchanging stories, hand shakes as well as making of excuses. Let’s see some pics of your camps sacred spot!
- HUNT REPORT NOV 1 ST - NOV 22 NDThe second Buck (Nice 8pt, 120" deer) jumps out in the road, and stops less than 5 feet in front of me. Turns his head, (probably thinking to himself that my rusty truck would not be a worthy way to go) gives me a good look at his head wear, and proceeds down the ditch on the other side, following the first Buck.
- Monday 10/28 Buck - forums.bowsite.comWe made the 3 mile journey to the location and traversed a short but nasty ledge to the deer. Took some pics, gutted him out, and lowered him down to the boat. Put some jackets down to soften the bloody blow and headed out. It was definitely nothing you see every day. We cruised on back with a buck on the deck of a tournament grade bass boat.
