- 9mm Luger carbide dies: Lee vs. RCBS | Northwest Firearms27,964. Aug 5, 2021. #13. Load on RCBS, Lyman, Lee & Dillon dies and loaded on a Hornady LnL AP, now a Dillon 650. For 9mm, used to have Lyman and Lee and getting the taper crimp to work properly was problematic to the point I had a kaboom. The Lymans were 9mm, sold with the LnL AP.
- Best load for 62gr SS109 — 223/556 with either BLC2 or W748According to my Speer No. 14 book, with their 62 gr. FMJ, minimum charge for BL-C (2) is 23.0 gr. and maximum charge is 25.0. Low end charges of these combinations are fine so long as they cycle the action. After all, a paper target isn't going to know the difference between 2850 and 3000 fps.
- "Ah Hah" moment with reloading presses that can take 1 1/4 - 12 sized ...Most dies are 7/8 - 14 which translates to 7/8" hole with 14 threads per inch. Several sturdy presses like the RCBS Rock Chucker, Redding Automag, and Hornady Lock n Load, have a large threaded insert where the 7/8in dies go. When the 7/8-14 sleeve is removed, the press will accept the much larger 1 1/4 in based dies.

The Business Rifle was brought out in 1876 and offered in calibers 40-70 and 45-75 Sharps. A 40-70 Sharps Bottleneck has a case length of 2 1/4".
