It was long, didn't show gameplay footage, the banter wasn't very interesting, and the whole thing felt like it could even be misleading (people are saying that the whole game takes place on one planet, whereas having your trailer be mostly in a spaceship makes it seem like a grand planet-hopping adventure).

If the world is convincing enough then the audience accepts it.
