I am just curious about the growth pattern of my birdsnest. It starts as a tiny little twig and has grown quickly adding a lot of girth and branches...
- What par levels can green birds nest tolerate | Reef2ReefThe only birds nest I ever met in high par got there VERY slowly and halides where it’s light source. Under led I’ve never had a birds nest to well near the top of the tank. Personal and anecdotal experiences.
- Birds nest? | Reef2ReefI received a complimentary frag green bird’s nest, which was thriving initially. However, it began to decline. I have since trimmed the end, and it is now in a state of decline. The perimeter appears to be in control, and all other corals are thriving.
- Dying birdsnest | Reef2ReefHow do I lower alk it has always been lil over 12 and mag has always been lil over 1400 but calc stays around 450 490 ish ph stays around 8.2 I have not seen mag or calc drop ever I don't use a doser just use fuel once a week, phyto every other day, zooplankton ever couple days but never use all on the same day.
- Birds Nest Placement? | Reef2ReefPick a spot and keep it there. You moving it around isn't letting it settle into its placement. From my understanding most of not all birds nest can be placed anywhere there is flow. Find a spot you like and let it settle, it's polyps and color will eventually come around. But if it starts to bleach then move it to a less area of light.
