Which sentence you use depends on what you want to say, but "the same that" does not work (without a noun or pronoun between "same" and "that").

If I use "ride" without any preposition, ...He let me ride his bike, then I have to be the one who is doing the steering and pedaling. The same would hold true for a motorcycle or anything else. If somebody else is steering, then he gives me a ride on his bike.
