Fished the Sycamore Creek area on Norris Sunday afternoon, we caught about doezen crappie but only 1 keeper , 1 12" LM, and 2 bluegills. The water had just a little color to it. I don't have a temp gauge but I would guess the water temp. to be in the high 40's.
- Big Creek | East Tennessee Fishing ForumsA buddy and me fly fished Big Creek yesterday and had real good morning. We started up the Big Creek Trail right at day break and hiked about 2 miles or so before we hit the river. That is one of the most beatifull mountain streams I have ever fished. We only landed 5 fish but we had at least that many more hook ups that got off.

Ripshin lake is privately managed as a privately owned communal property. Therefore, even if you are in a boat on the water, you are trespassing. It's essentially a farm pond now on private property.

I personally start fishing it late January and do a few night tourneys thru mid summer. I really like fishing the lake and have been doing so since the lake was formed back in 1974.

Some good fishing on this float though it is a long float. Reply Like.
