Benazir Bhutto was prime minister of Pakistan (1988–90 and 1993–96) and the first woman leader of a Muslim nation in modern history. She became the head of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) after the 1979 execution of her father, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (leader of Pakistan, 1971–77). More @Wikipedia
