The Bedouin, Beduin, or Bedu (/ ˈbɛduɪn /; [16] Arabic: بَدْو, romanized: badw, singular بَدَوِي badawī) are pastorally nomadic Arab tribes [17] who have historically inhabited the desert regions in the Arabian Peninsula, North Africa, the Levant, and Mesopotamia (Iraq). [18] .
