Bookmark or Share- 1902 Krag Bayonet - EDGED WEAPONS - U.S. Militaria ForumThe bayonet is virtually unused, and the scabbard has 98% of its original blueing still present. The only detraction is the two small creases on the scabbard just below the throat. Although I have another Krag bayonet to go with my Model 1896 Rifle, this one will stay with me just because it looks so nice.

It's clear though that the Bayonet Badge at least was created before the end of the war and certainly worn before the end of the war.

- U.F.H. Bayonet - EDGED WEAPONS - U.S. Militaria ForumThe specifications for the M1 bayonet called for them to not be dated. Some of the makers continued to use the date stamps for a short time before they were replaced by the newer undated versions. UFH used the dated stamp on some of these transition bayonets while others were not dated.
