Bookmark or Share- Do babies need dental and vision insurance? — The BumpI work in HR (dealing with benefits specifically) and whenever we added babies to plans we added them to medical/vision (but our medical/vision were tied, if you signed up for med you automatically got vision) but not dental (as babies typically don't grow teeth for 7-12 mos and there is usually an open enrollment period somewhere in there).

- PSA: No lavender scents for babies. - The BumpSeptember 2009 in Babies: 0 - 3 Months I was really suprised, but my pediatrician told me that new studies have revealed that lavender causes increased estrogen production in children. He said not to use anything lavender scented on my baby or myself since she is on me all the time.
- 2-door cars and babies - The BumpOne of my friends has two babies and a two door car. It's not ideal but she makes it work. Two people makes it easier, one can put the carrier in while the other holds the baby. It's not impossible! But I know they'd rather have two four door cars. If it's not in your budget to get a four door, you'll adapt!
- When do babies learn to manipulate/cry on demand? - The BumpI always believed that babies couldn't manipulate or cry for attention or things like that until they were much older...but the last couple days, we've noticed Toodle will SCREAM bloody murder when you do something he doesn't like and literally stop 4 seconds later - no real tears.
