Bookmark or Share- Diamondback vs Bear Creek Arsenal - AR15.COMDiamondback builds all their ARs in house, and makes their own barrels. 100% American company. I own 2 of their ARs and they have ran flawlessly for several thousand rounds. Groups average 1-1.5 at 100 yards. Most of their hate comes from their earlier DB pistols malfunctioning, I've never heard of issues with their rifles.
- DIY 100s of ARs cheaper, faster, gentler! - AR15.COMOdin. Start with an actual AR 100% receiver. It can be aluminum (#likealawnchair) or printed plastic. You may want to add your special touches like cover up the fire selector markings with clay (use non-sulfur clay) I would also highly suggest to put the trigger guard in place.
- Bushmaster quality - AR15.COMIf you are dead set on buying a Bushmaster, my advice is to find an older Bushmaster (BFI, Windham, ME) and not buy a newer one. That said, and as someone else mentioned, Windham Weaponry does make some good quality ARs and they are the ones who produced the original Bushmasters and do so in the same facility. Here is the clone I built.
- What's up with some peoples dislike for Palmetto State Armory ARs ...IMO PSA is the sole reason why prices for ARs have come down to the $400 range. They are THE leader in the market for driving down prices. I see a lot of hate because of slow shipping, CS, etc., but if you can stomach that, PSA is hard to beat.
- AR15 Production in Numbers (1964-2017) and Total Firearms Stockpile ...From that point on, I added up the totals for manufacturers known to exclusively make ARs in the ATF's AFMER reports. Unfortunately, ATF Annual Firearms Manufacturing and Export Reports (AFMERs) are not available before 1998 online. To get earlier AFMER data, you have to file a FOIA with the ATF, which is exceedingly slow to respond.
