- DIY 100s of ARs cheaper, faster, gentler! - AR15.COMOdin. Start with an actual AR 100% receiver. It can be aluminum (#likealawnchair) or printed plastic. You may want to add your special touches like cover up the fire selector markings with clay (use non-sulfur clay) I would also highly suggest to put the trigger guard in place.
- Trigger Pin Size - AR15.COMThis was, presumably, to make it difficult to put M16 uppers onto civilian AR15 lowers. At the time, of course, Colt was the only AR manufacturer, and SP1s were the only civilain ARs, so this wasn't that big a deal. In the mid 80s, Colt's patent on the AR15 design expired, and other companies were able to start making clones.
- Colt le6920 vs Daniel defense ddm4v7slw - AR15.COMYou likely have one of the better 6920's made; definitely keep it. DD makes a really nice rifle, save until you can buy a DD without selling your Colt, I personally would lean toward the DD M4A1.
- What's up with some peoples dislike for Palmetto State Armory ARs ...IMO PSA is the sole reason why prices for ARs have come down to the $400 range. They are THE leader in the market for driving down prices. I see a lot of hate because of slow shipping, CS, etc., but if you can stomach that, PSA is hard to beat.
