Bookmark or Share- Is there any general consensus on the meaning of Apocalypse Now?I watched Apocalypse Now (this was the initial theatrical cut though I may watch the Redux and Final Cut at some point in the future) and though I thought it was a beautifully crafted and truly hallucinatory and dreamlike, sucking you into it's horrible atmosphere (reminded me a lot of Aguirre, a film I love), I couldn't see any consistient theme in it, and the ending was especially confusing.
