- Just finished 1984, is Animal Farm worth reading? : r/books - RedditWhereas 1984 has parts that can be tough to get thru for some, Animal Farm is easy read, start to finish. A kid could read it, but perhaps not get the whole point. For me, it was similar to reading Vonnegut, you can feel(for lack of a better word)the intelligence while reading the simplicity.
