Bookmark or Share- Enable editing in your document - Microsoft SupportIf you receive or open a document and can't make any changes, it might be Open for viewing only in Protected View. - Configure headers and footers for different sections of a documentClick or tap the page at the beginning of a section. Select Layout > Breaks > Next Page. Double-click the header or footer on the first page of the new section. Click Link to Previous to turn it off and unlink the header or footer from the previous section. Note: Headers and footers are linked separately.
- Scan and edit a document - Microsoft SupportAfter you scan a document, you can open the document in Word to edit it. How you do this depends on the version of Office that you have installed. Tip: The conversion works best with documents that are mostly text. Scan your document according to the instructions for your scanner, and save it to your computer as a .pdf file.
- Change or delete a header or footer on a single pageTo delete or change headers and footers on individual pages within a document, start by inserting a section break. Important: Section breaks are different from page breaks. If you already have a page break before the page where you want to change the header or footer, remove a page break and replace it with a section break as shown below.
- Edit your existing headers and footers - Microsoft SupportTo remove the first page header or footer Select Different First Page. To add a page number Click or tap where you want the number, select Page Number and choose a style. You may need to edit for better formatting.
