Bookmark or Share- Recommend (or recommend to stay away from) range 9mm range ammoAluminum is fine. Only guns that choke on aluminum for me is a Coonan 357 Magnum and my AR Pistols in 45 ACP. More recently I’ve been shooting a lot of Federal Champion Aluminum case ammo simply because it is more readily available (to me) than CCI’s version. They both are very good budget ammo for practice and completely safe to shoot, of course.

I'd venture to say it was the same as wwb. I don't see how it could cause more wear since aluminum is softer than the steel on the gun.
- Aluminum case 9mm reliable? | Glock Talkthe only problem I had with Aluminum cased ammo is from FEDERAL aluminum 9mm & 45 I experienced a few loose bullets, some were loose enough to twist with your fingers and some were loose enough to get pushed back in the case, that could possibly cause a high pressure round.

I have no interest in reloading so for me, the aluminum vs. brass issue never comes up. I don't really notice any difference in power between it and the same Federal ammo in brass. If I compared side by side, I might.
