Alexander Alekhine - Wikipedia
Alexander Aleksandrovich Alekhine[ a ][ b ] (October 31 [ O.S. October 19] 1892 – March 24, 1946) was a Russian and French chess player and the fourth World Chess Champion, a title he held for two reigns. By the age of 22, Alekhine was already among the strongest chess players in the world.

Alexander Alekhine was born in Moscow in 1892 to an aristocratic family. His talent was obvious from an early age. He had the benefit of learning from his brother Alexei, a strong player; avidly played correspondence chess; and had Fyodor Duz-Khotimirski for a tutor.
