Adolphus Busch was the son-in-law of Eberhard Anheuser and the driving force behind the brewery’s success (Hernon & Ganey 1991). He made a number of tremendous advances in brewing history, the most important of which (at least from a bottle research standpoint) was employing Pasteurization to the beer-making process.
