Bookmark or Share- high pitched whine - Ford Expedition ForumIt might be the start of a wheel bearing going bad. The colder night firmed up the bearing grease and exaggerated the noise. Could also be the rear diff oil was thicker too. Just keep an ear out for the noise when warmed up though. I would expect it to slowly get worse if it's either a bearing or diff.

Even my 2007 Navigator had more wind and road noise than my 2018 Expedition. I feel that the Active Noise Control is working very well. This obviously is IMHO.

- 03 Expy Rear A/C Clicking Noise | Ford Expedition ForumI agree Smoothride, it is probably more associated with the Heat. It is coming from the passenger rear side of the vehicle. It is back where the rear AC system is located. The clicking will get really soft if you adjust the temp control correctly ( whatever that happens to be that day) and will get really loud when it is not adjusted correctly!
