- DOLBY VISION - LG ACTIVE HDR - AVForumsActive HDR should be off for Dolby vision which has dynamic metadata already included. Active HDR is for HDR10 content only to replicate dynamic metadata. I believe, and Rtings say, that the backlight, and OLED light in my case, setting is in fact a gamma control in Dolby vision, so will change the amount of near black detail visible.
- Setup Guide for HDR including NEW settings for Nvidia Usersi have to say that special K HDR is not better then the Nvidia app and i have tested out both and the results from nvidia app are much better. .blacks look off with special k and cant get it to look quite right. this is esp so for dying light 2. but nvidia app nails it. its just the performance hit which is a bit of a bumber. but i cant really notice it much if im being honest.

- Why HDR Tone Mapping is recommended to be kept turned OFF?Tone mapping "Off" is rather mislabelled. It actually does static tone mapping with a roll off of the highlights based on the static HDR metadata (e.g. a 4000 nit film will roll off earlier than a 1000 nit one). HGIG mode is closer to as you describe with a fixed 1:1 mapping and clipping at 800 nits.
