Bookmark or Share- Set the start date or finish date for your project in Project desktopSelect Project > Project Information. In the Schedule from list, pick Project Start Date or Project Finish Date. In the Start date or Finish date box, enter the date that you want to schedule from. A project can only be scheduled from the start date or from the finish date at any one time.

- Change a task duration - Microsoft SupportYou can change a task’s duration at any time to reflect the actual amount of time it needs. Choose View > Gantt Chart. In the Duration column for the task, type the duration in minutes (m), hours (h), days (d), weeks (w), or months (mo).
- Set the general working days and times for a projectChange the working times for each day of a work week. If your organization has a specific work week (or set of work weeks) when the working times are different from the default, you can make those changes to the working times for each day in a work week, during a set period of time.
- Change the timescale in a Project view in Project desktopIn the Timescale dialog box, select the Week Headings tab. In the Monthly titles, Daily titles, and Weekly titles boxes, choose the date formats that you want to use for the Calendar view. Under Display, choose 7 days to display a 7-day week or 5 days to display a 5-day week.
