Bookmark or Share- Xbox Series X doesn't support 1440p@120Hz with 1440p@144Hz monitorI have Xiaomi Mi Curved 34 monitor, which supports 1440p@144Hz through DisplayPort. This monitors does display my Dell XPS 15 9500 laptop at 1440p@120Hz. I've owned 2 HDMI 2.0 to DisplayPort adapters (both stated to be VESA compliant ) in order to enable my Xbox Series X to support 1440p@120Hz with this monitor:
- 1440p@120Hz WITH HDR on Xbox Series X ? - Microsoft CommunitySo for Xbox, 1440P 120Hz and VRR is a no go. You should be able to get to 120Hz with VRR at 1080P though. The inability to do 1440P @ 120Hz is a limitation of your display's hardware, nothing to do with the older HDMI 2.0 port. Most of these monitors rated refresh is based on their Display Port hardware.

- Xbox series x won’t let me run 120hz and 1440p - Microsoft CommunityI bought an Odyssey g55a monitor which supports 144hz and 1440p but for some reason my Xbox series x won’t allow me to run 120hz and 1440p. If I change it to 120hz, the resolution drops to 1080p and I’d I switch my resolution to 1440p, my hz drops to 60.
- Unable to select 144Hz refresh rate on new monitorI just got my new 1440p 144Hz monitor and I connect it to my laptop thru HDMI using the cable supplied with the monitor. I was able to select 1440p resolution but couldn't not select the 144Hz option. I am on Windows 11 21H2 Build 22000.282. The same cable I used on another laptop, windows 10, i was able to select 144Hz perfectly.
