Bookmark or Share- Are Beetles really that bad? : r/Volkswagen - RedditFor my first car I'm considering buying a used VW Beetle. It's a 2015 Volkswagen Beetle Classic, black, 29k mileage, for $21k. This all seems good to me, and my parents said that's fine (they said there are better cars but I'm 21 so they can't outright say no I guess), but I know there's debate online about the reliability of Beetles.

- Are vws really expensive to maintain? : r/Volkswagen - RedditA Volkswagen may be a little more expensive to maintain, but often has higher tech features etc. Exotic cars like Lamborghini etc are "expensive" to maintain in my opinion. I have a 2016 GTI, For oil changes and the like, it doesn't cost me any more than any other vehicle.
