Bookmark or Share- TiVo Edge - CableCard Issues w/Verizon FIOSBefore receiving the new CableCARD, I did go through the whole phone "troubleshooting" with FIOS support whereupon they tried a few things (that ultimately ended up killing my internet/cable altogether for a few minutes each time).
- Substituting a TIVO for a Verizon FIOS DVR(I suspect Verizon continues to support TIVO services that were set up prior to the change in Verizon policy but rejects new services.) BTW, after being spurned by Verizon support, I called a Verizon FIOS store directly and was told they could give me a cable card and do all the paperwork necessary to set up my TIVO.
- Verizon cable cards | TiVo Community ForumBefore ordering I called Verizon to make sure I could still get a cablecard, since the original one was taken away by the FIOS+ installer. The phone agent said they no longer offer the service….but I kept pressing, including the fact that my husband couldn’t use the remote and that their accessibility access was a real problem.
- Verizon FIOS Quantum Gateway MoCA 2.0 and Roamio/MiniInstalled Verizon FIOS a little over a month ago, and they connected both coax and Cat5e from a brand new GPON ONT to the router. Great to have options. I then had Bolt establish the MoCa network, and connected Mini downstairs via MoCa.
- Help Switching to Verizon-Optimum is Pulling Plug on...I have a Verizon STB 4100 that was included in my package, but I predominately use my TiVo. So, I'm not really familiar with the other options. A quick search seems to indicate that the Verzon Fios TV app does support Amazon Fire TVs and dongles, Verizon Stream and Apple TV.
