UNLV has multiple black hole researchers, a minimum of 5 geo science labs, 2 greenhouses, multiple atomic microscopes, a vivarium, a transportation, an energy, and an urban development research center.

Saying that a school is a R1 is a nice thing, but nearly every state school in the country makes the cut.

Plus they have the School of Mines and Nursing School. UNLV has always been a commuter school, but they are transitioning to a Tier 1 campus while the Nevada State and Community Colleges are taking over the commuter schools status. I actually went to both schools.
- In your opinion, why is the graduation rate for UNLV <40%?CSN offers plenty of classes after 5PM, but for 300 or 400 level classes you're stuck with "full-level" tenured professors at UNLV. Because they're already senior professors, they're gone by 4:30 PM. They don't even wait for 5 to hit. However, I have noted some tenured computer science (UNLV) professors who offer electives past 5PM.
