Bookmark or Share- A Potomac River Shark Teeth Hunt - The Fossil ForumFrom what I can see in your pictures, you might have found some Carcharhinus (requiem shark) teeth, but I'm not entirely sure. The larger, more curved ones might belong to the Hemipristis (snaggletooth shark), and the smaller, triangular ones could be from a Sand Tiger shark. The other pieces look like eagle ray teeth and maybe some other fish ...
- Shark Teeth from the Peace River, Arcadia, FloridaHere is the shadowbox I made from the shark teeth we found on our guided trip to the Peace River in Arcadia, Florida on 26 Dec 2023. We were out for almost 5 hours with Sean from Fossil Recovery Exploration, and even he said we did very well! We were particularly pleased with the pyritised partial (2/3) megalodon tooth!

Heterodontus cf. lerichei? Worn batoid tooth plates? 18-20 - More worn shark teeth, again likely odontaspidid 22 - Definitely a tooth of some description. Trichiurus sp.?

If I were collecting shark teeth in Texas, I probably would know more about the systematics of Cretaceous teeth. Maybe Ontario is the place to be to get a balanced overview. Thanks for contributing.
- 'Twilight Zone' from Sharktooth Hill, Bakersfield, CaliforniaThe shark teeth from Bakersfield are quite special. thank you! oftentimes when i pull colorful teeth out of the ground, it's hard to tell how they end up looking after oxidizing over a few days, but will try to post a tooth called "zephyr" shortly, it's got a really rich dusk purple on the labial side even after oxidizing.
