Bookmark or Share- Protect a worksheet - Microsoft SupportWorksheet protection is a two-step process: the first step is to unlock cells that others can edit, and then you can protect the worksheet with or without a password. In your Excel file, select the worksheet tab that you want to protect. Tip: You can select multiple, non-contiguous cells by pressing Ctrl+Left-Click.
- Protect a workbook - Microsoft SupportTo prevent other users from viewing hidden worksheets, adding, moving, deleting, or hiding worksheets, and renaming worksheets, you can protect the structure of your Excel workbook with a password. Notes: Protecting the workbook is not the same as protecting an Excel file or a worksheet with a password. See below for more information:

- Lock or unlock specific areas of a protected worksheetYou can lock only specific cells and ranges before you protect the worksheet and, optionally, enable specific users to edit only in specific ranges of a protected sheet. Follow these steps: On the Review tab, select Unprotect Sheet (in the Protect group). Select Protect Sheet to change to Unprotect Sheet when a worksheet is protected.
