Air National Guard and being a police officer
Good morning everybody, I am currently in the Air Force Active Duty with the AFSC of 3pox1, Security Forces. My separation date is in June, 2025. I want to become a law enforcement officer in the future when i get out but i might sign up for the Air national guard when I separate from Active Duty. My questions is, is it hard

Lastly, there is no difference between GL and GS when it comes to retirement. Those are just pay scales. The important question is whether the position you'd be switching into is 6(c) for retirement (i.e. a law enforcement officer position).
NCIS vs. AFOSI vs. US ARMY CID - Officer.com
AFOSI is mostly military agents (enlisted and officer), with a large minority of civilian agents. AFOSI and NCIS cover general crimes, fraud, and counter-intel. Army CID does general crime and fraud, but the Army has other personnel that do the majority of the CI work. Army CID Special Agents are mostly Warrant Officers.
