Bookmark or Share- UQ-Ochsner Packing List for Brisbane | Student Doctor NetworkThinking about those moving to Oz to start in the UQ-Ochsner MBBS program in January and inspired by the Caribbean med school packing lists I see online, I thought a thread on packing would help. Anyone in the know, please contribute! I'll stick to major themes and provide some suggestions: Things are EXPENSIVE in Australia compared to the US.

- UQ-Ochsner's New Curriculum | Student Doctor NetworkI also wanted to ask about the tuition, fees, and other expenses. The website only shows the tuition ($67,456). Offshore schools have various fees but they're not available on the UQ-Ochsner's website. What is the approximate cost of attendance per year including everything (tuition, fees, housing, insurance, etc)? Thanks in advance.
- UQ-Ochsner 2024 | Student Doctor NetworkAlso Ochsner physicians and residents do tons of research, getting projects year 3 and 4 is quite easy. Some DO schools don't have affiliations with major clinical sites, which can mean lots of travelling and uncertainty. UQ-Ochsner students spend most of their time year 3/4 at the main Ochsner hospital.
- UQ-Ochsner 2025 | Student Doctor NetworkUQ-Ochsner only starts in January because the academic year in Australia runs from January through November. If you wanted to start in January 2025, you'd need to apply ASAP (in the next couple months ideally). If you wanted to start in January 2026, the application may already be open, but the first interviews wouldn't be until March/April 2025.
