- GMRS call sign format -Just Wondering!- - RadioReference.com ForumsI am familiar with the FCC's Amateur radio call sign format - its easily found many places as to the format they use to issue Amateur call signs. But I'm curious about the GMRS format. I realize that it isn't broken up in the various classes as Ham radio is - like tech, general, and extra class.

The performance of the FCC website has been horrible for a long time, as in unreliable. It's been that way for years. Nothing new. They obviously do not care. But, they are the only game in town. Which usually leads to the "do not care" attitude.

- Old FCC CB License? - RadioReference.com ForumsSince the FCC is unable to provide older Ham licenses, it's unlikely they could provide old CB licenses. If it's not in their database, they don't have the info. That is, if a ham wants an older license's info, it's gone. When you update your license, the FCC does not retain archives of 'old' info, only 'current' info.
