Bookmark or Share- Headshell wire hum when touched | Steve Hoffman Music ForumsThe ONLY thing I can fathom is a long cable run (6.5ft) run between TT and phono pre parallel to the power cable. I have read elsewhere that ish long cable runs increases capacitance and subsequently might introduce hum. The RCA leads are shielded but even at that, they have a 6ft run parallel to the power cable (cant be avoided at the moment).
