Fourteen pilot shows - including Alpha House and Zombieland - are to be put to the public vote on Lovefilm and Amazon.com. Viewers can submit feedback influencing which shows get made into full series. The 14 shows are made by independent production companies and produced by Amazon Studios, the film and series production arm of Amazon.

The actors will hopefully make another memorable cameo appearance, such as Bill Murray did in the original.

Sony had a spectacular Friday at the box office. Not only did the Culver City studio notch its sixth number-one opener of the year with "Zombieland" at $9.4 million, but also filed second with holdover "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" which earned $3.7 million.

This week at the movies, we've got zombie zaniness (Zombieland, starring Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg); derby dolls (Whip it, starring Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page); funny falsehoods (The Invention of Lying, starring Ricky Gervais and Jennifer Garner); financial follies (Michael Moore's Capitalism: A Love Story); and a pair of Pixar classics (Toy Story and Toy Story 2, both in 3-D).
