Seven years ago, on the set of the sci-fi show "Supernatural," star Jared Padalecki had an anxiety attack.

NBC has ordered the J.J. Abrams' drama "Revolution" and the Ryan Murphy comedy "The New Normal" for its fall lineup, the network confirmed. "Revolution," produced by Abrams and written by "Supernatural" creator Eric Kripke, has been described as an action drama about people attempting to survive in a world where all forms of energy have suddenly ceased to exist. The pilot was directed by Jon Favreau and stars Billy Burke (from the "Twilight" films), Giancarlo Esposito, David Lyons, Tracy Spiradakos, Graham Rogers and Tim Guinee.

CBS continues to dominate Fridays, with solid numbers for "A Gifted Man," "CSI: NY" and "Blue Bloods." It helped that NBC and ABC's slate were largely made up of repeats. "Fringe" rose, while "Supernatural" and "Nikita" saw a slight decline in viewer numbers.

The re-engineered "Pirates of the Caribbean" sequel "On Stranger Tides" found its smoothest sailing overseas, where it took in a record $256.3 million at the international box office, according to studio estimates Sunday.
