If there is one couple defying the lyrics of Taylor Swift's opening Grammy number, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," it is Rihanna and Chris Brown.

Along with Rihanna, Nicki Minaj is the top nominee at Sunday's American Music Awards, but the rapper-singer isn't concerned with her four nominations.

Rihanna hugged, then briefly kissed ex-boyfriend Chris Brown just moments after her big win at the MTV Video Music Awards.

We already knew, based on the preview clip released last week, that Oprah Winfrey would ask Rihanna about Chris Brown during her interview with the pop star on Sunday’s “Oprah’s Next Chapter.” We also knew that Rihanna would get a bit teary while admitting that, in the aftermath of Brown assaulting her in 2009, she was deeply concerned about his well-being.

The editor of a Dutch fashion magazine has been fired after the publication used a racial slur to refer to Barbados-born Rihanna, setting off a social media furor and prompting an outraged response from the singer. Eva Hoeke, editor of "Jackie," and the magazine's publisher said in a joint statement on Facebook that the misuse of a racial slur - "although without malicious intentions" - was cause for Hoeke's departure after eight years on the job.

The sixth studio album from Rihanna, the most consistent pop star of the last five years, places her squarely at the center of that genre: making dance music of R&B and pop.
