With a price tag of $250 million, Disney's John Carter ranks up there as one of the most expensive movies ever made. After an unimpressive and unsuccessful marketing campaign, the moment of truth for John Carter is finally here and it probably couldn't come soon enough.

A second trailer for Wrath of the Titans is out today and seeing this has revealed to me why the John Carter trailers have failed. Let's start with the main character. Perseus is half-god but that doesn't mean things will be easy for him. Those Titans he's up against look like a handful and he will need no small amount of luck to win some of those battles.

It looks like studios using short teasers to promote the trailer is becoming a trend, and they are here to stay. I first noticed this when Fox released three slight different short teasers (over three days!) to inform us that the Prometheus trailer is coming out. Of course, like a starving person with our first meal in days, we gobbled that up and spilled much digital ink about those teasers, dissecting them until there's really nothing left to say. And we liked it. It's the prequel to Alien, after all.

The new trailer for John Carter premiered on ABC's "Good Morning America" this morning and the channel has put the trailer online as how it aired on the program. You can watch it below and we'll update the trailer when the official version comes online.
