Movie Review: Disney’s ‘princess And Frog’ Charming

Disney makes a royal return to its hand-drawn animation roots with the charming, colorful fairy story "The Princess and the Frog.”The distinctly American retelling of the Grimms’ fairy tale is the first classic 2-D-animated film for the Mouse House since 2004’s "Home on the Range.” It harks back to the early ’90s heyday of Disney animated films, every bit as enchanting as "The Little Mermaid” and "Aladdin,” though not quite as magical as "The Lion King” and "Beauty and the Beast.”Much has been made about "The Princess and the Frog” featuring the first black Disney princess, Tiana (Tony winner Anika Noni Rose).Read more on NewsOK.com
