The average annual cost of prescription drug treatment increased more than 25% between 2015 and 2019 alone, AARP reports, while the annual income for Florida residents only increased 13%. High drug costs are a key reason Florida is one of the five most expensive states in the nation for health care, and why Floridians pay so much for health coverage.
