As the New Year kicks off, Microsoft today published a blog post that covers some notable Xbox statistics and achievements from the past year and teases what's to come in 2017.Xbox marketing VP Mike Nichols started off by saying that Xbox Live "engagement" in November and December was the highest in the history of Xbox, with players collectively logging 3.9 billion hours on the service; that's up 23 percent compared to last year.Nichols did not share any sales numbers for Microsoft's big 2016 games, but said Forza Horizon 3 was the best-selling racing game in the entire industry for 2016.
